Our zip code 56345 community loves its Mississippi River and beautiful natural environment, parks, trails and outdoors opportunities. Residents celebrate its creativity, culture and arts opportunities. These assets, defining pride of place, are common ground to guide us along our development path ahead over the coming decade.

This tool is a companion document to the complete plan, the Strategic Framework dated May 2020. This summarizes principles and vision elements identified by the community in response to the question “What should guide our decision making?” These principles become a “compass north” to keep the community focused on its vision and strategic priorities.

Our Town 56345 has been an important opportunity for an extensive community listening process, to explore what’s important for our town’s shared future. “Of, for and by the people,” is a phrase that describes this initiative, seeking themes and priorities around which there is broadly held common ground for mutuality.
